You can easily compare the two experiences. The game has never been more of a grind than it is today. There was more equality of opportunity, provided that you had at least some level of PvP skill, which is what this game is about. The game was simply more fair before the patch, especially for solo players and small groups. Not only that, but the Explosives blueprint was so common that you could easily get it within the first 2 hours of gameplay and stockpile production in preparation for C4.

we'd be up and running with a full sheet metal base with armored doors and C4 crafting, either by purchasing the blueprint from a more experienced player, or by learning it from a blueprint drop using a Research Table.
